The Snowman is a Christmas children’s classic, so it’s no surprise to find it re-incarnated on the West-end stage. Originally released as a children’s book in 1978, The Snowman later became a short animated movie which went on to become a legend and has since turned into a Christmas tradition across the UK and around the world. Famed for being completely wordless, both the book and the film were noted for their simplicity and the effect of the film’s one song – ‘Walking in the air’ – the stage play continues this tradition and breathes new life into to classic story through the magic of stage.

The appeal of The Snowman lives in its simplicity. A simple, moving story about a young boy and his snowman and the adventures they have together when the snowman comes to life on Christmas Eve.

The Stage-based production of The Snowman has audiences spell-bound as The Snowman flies through the sky above the stage and dances slowly to earth.
