For 12 weeks only ‘In a forest dark and deep’ resides at the Vaudeville Theatre, London.

Written by Neil Labute, author of The Shape of things to come, Fat pig and The Mercy Seat and Some Girl, this highly entertaining, 100-minute two-hander will pull the rug from under your feet so often you will end up feeling breathless.

The play starts, intriguingly enough with Bobby, a handsome carpenter played by Matthew Fox (of LOST fame), who is invited over to his sister Betty’s cabin to help her shift some piles of books left behind by a student tenant.

Bobby accepts, suspecting little from this innocuous family invitation. But Bobby and Betty begin to bicker and a dark comedy of sibling rivalry escalates into a psychological thriller, bursting with savage conflict.

It quickly becomes clear that Betty is hiding a terrible secret in her cabin in the woods.

Dare you dig into Betty’s secret past?
