Goodnight Sweetheart Return on Stage?

Nineties sitcom Goodnight Sweetheart could become the latest in a line of popular TV series to be adapted for the musical stage.
The show, which starred Nicholas Lyndhurst as a TV repair man who discovers a time portal to wartime London, marks the 20th anniversary of its first broadcast today.
Speaking to the BBC , writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran revealed they are "some way down the line of doing a stage musical".
They added that it could hit the stage as early as next year, and would feature music from the 1940s and 1980s.
Marks and Gran's other stage musical credits include Dreamboats and Petticoats and Save the Last Dance for Me.
"It would reflect the series," said Marks of Goodnight Sweetheart. "It would be a much more elaborate story and it would contain the same characters.
"I think there is life in Gary Sparrow [Lyndhurst's character] yet."
