The West End transfer of McQueen by James Phillips has posted early closing notices at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and will now end its run on 17 October 2015. It was initially booking to 7 November 2015.
Described as a new play about British fashion designer Alexander McQueen, the production delayed previews and eventually began on 22 August 2015 with an official opening on 27 August 2015.
The production originally ran at the St James Fringe Theatre where it was met with lukewarm reviews despite praise for the central performance by Stephen Wight.
McQueen is described as "stepping into the fairy story landscape of McQueen's mind, the landscape seen in his immortal shows, where with a dress an urchin can become an Amazon, where beauty might just help us survive the night".
