Millionaire at 25…

First performed to great acclaim at Chichester's Minerva Theatre, this Autumn see’s the opening of Martin Sherman´s explosive new play, Onassis at The Novello Theatre, 5 Aldwych London.

Based on the book 'Nemesis' by Peter Evans, Robert Lindsay (to My Family, Oliver Twist and A Very Social Secretary fame) takes lead role as the infamous Aristotle Onassis alongside a stellar cast that includes Lydia Leonard (of A Midsummer Nights Dream, Let There Be Love and Ashes to Ashes (bbc) fame) playing Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis and Anna Francolini (of Talking Steps, Awaking Beauty and Three Sisters on Hope Street fame) playing Maria Callas.

This is the story of the relationships between Aristotle Onassis, his lover Maria Callas, his wife Jackie Kennedy and his long running feud with the Kennedy family and the American establishment.

Lindsay is riveting and uncannily resembles Onassis immersing himself in the animal magnetism of this Greek tycoon focused in his quest - and voracious appetite – for success, power, money and sex!

The play itself encapsulates how those with great wealth and political influence live their lives detached from the moral code and realities of ordinary mortals.

This Greek tragedy identifies how most of the mid-20th century’s prominent figures on the world stage were either related to Onassis by social encounters, business feuds or sexual dalliances.

Onassis comes to the Novello Theatre for a strictly limited season so make sure you don’t miss out. Search for the best priced Onassis tickets with Compare Theatre Tickets today.
