The Nominations for the 38th Olivier Awards

New musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along lead the pack with both productions receiving seven nominations across all categories - including leading and supporting performers.
 
Nominees for Best New Musical include The Book of Mormon, Once , and The Scottsboro Boys who each tie with six nominations.It has been a fantastic year for the Almeida Theatre who have earned ten nominations, including Best New Play for Chimerica and 1984.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony held at the Royal Opera House on Sunday 13 April 2014.
 
A full television highlights package will once again be broadcast on ITV shortly after the event. The public can join in the excitement once again at the special stage in the Covent Garden Piazza, which will feature a live stream of the event, along with live performances from many of long running West End shows, as well as celebrity guests and interviews. BBC Radio 2 will broadcast a special two-hour highlight programme at 18:00 on 19 April, presented by television and radio star Claudia Winkleman.
