About Nice Fish

Following a sell-out run in New York, acclaimed comic play Nice Fish comes to the Harold Pinter Theatre. The play is written by BAFTA, Academy, Tony and Oliver Award-winning Mark Rylance in a rare collaboration with acclaimed contemporary prose poet from Minnesota Louis Jenkins. Nice Fish is directed by Claire van Kampen.

The story is focused on an ice fishing expedition on a frozen Minnesota lake, where ordinary events take extraordinary twists. Two friends are fishing on ice that is beginning to groan and creak at the end of the fishing season. The anglers are looking to catch something big…

The complete cast from New York are transferring to the West End. Mark Rylance is playing Ron and Jim Lichtscheidl is playing Erik, the two fisherman friends who lives are turned upside down in an extremely comical and sublime way. Other cast members coming to London include Bob Davis, Kayli Carter and Raye Birk.
