The Gruffalo musical is based on the best-selling book of the same name and has performed equally as well on the stage with sell-out tours across the UK. Having won several literature awards, The Gruffalo made it to the stages of both the West End and Broadway where it has been entertaining audiences ever since.
The story of The Gruffalo centres around a mouse and the tall-tales that he tells to stay alive. As the mouse journeys through the dangerous woods, he’s set upon by a variety of creatures intent on eating him. A snake, an owl and a fox all threaten to turn the little mouse into dinner, but he scares them off with tales of his friend ‘The Gruffalo’ – a fictional monster of fearsome features and proportions whose favourite foodstuff just happens to be the exact creature the mouse is trying to avoid being eaten by. On hearing that The Gruffalo might appear at any moment, the creatures flee in fear for their lives. But is The Gruffalo entirely fictional?
This magical musical adaptation of a modern classic provides wonderful entertainment for children aged 3 and up.
